If you are planning to ask a lottery winner you never met for money, know in advance that the odds are against you. Many lottery winners, especially new ones who win huge jackpots, are inundated with requests for money. Often, these requests come through sad stories that pull the person’s emotions. You should know that these new lottery winners quickly become immune to these requests and ignore them.
So if you are planning to ask a stranger for money, don’t make up sad stories. As in the previous example, tell the truth and just say that you would appreciate it if they could save you some money. They will probably refuse your order, but don’t get it wrong – jackpot winners cannot give money to anyone who asks for it. Just make sure you don’t harass anyone while asking for money – this is illegal.
